Johnny`s New York Pizza & Pasta in Lakewood

I was visiting from out of town and had a craving for pizza. I've never tasted pizza like this-- very unique sauce and texture. It wasn't too greasy or gooey, it had a great consistency and the ingredients tasted fresh. The crust was baked just right and the toppings were high quality. I'll definitely be back if I visit the area again.

First time trying this place, service was good but food was definitely lacking. The garlic knots are flavorless balls of dough, and the marinara tasted like raw onions. The pizza crust was nice and crispy, but the pizza itself lacked any flavor.

I recently ordered takeout here and ordered pizza and garlic bread and first opening the garlic bread the red sauce with the bread was spilt over and all on the bottom of the box. That was just the first thing, the garlic bread was absolutely burnt and the pizza was too. After paying $25 for that I was very disappointed as it was so burnt I could barely eat the garlic bread or the pizza. Will not be eating here again! The other time I ate here they charged me for 2 pizzas and said they would refund me and never did. Gave it another chance but that was the last..

Excellent food and Kat was very friendly; I'm from Denver, CO (we technically have everything there) ; but, they made the best calzone I ever ate; thanks!

Always a great experience at Johnny’s... I normally only order a cheese pizza with extra sauce and it’s the best in NWA. The crust is perfect and always has the right chew. This is a must stop place for pizza.

Maybe I was just unlucky, I've been here for lunch a couple times with no issues. But last Thursday evening, I stopped in for dinner by myself and received horrible service. It was about 8 PM and I was greeted at the door and was told to sit where I wanted. The place was nearly empty. There was more workers than patrons. I waited 10 minutes without any sort of interaction. No menu, no drink, heck no one even looked at me. I walked out without saying a word. I will never set foot in that place again.

Good food quick service

I order delivery from here every once and a while and it's always delicious. I get the cheese calzone and it's always fresh and made well. One of my favorite places! Highly recommended!

When you order light sauce, but they thought you said "burned to a crisp."Edit: Increased rating to two stars, since they issued a refund without me even asking for one.

The pizza is good. Service staff is good but not overly friendly. I called a day ahead for a party of 20-25 people. Instead of moving the tables to keep us together, they split us into 4-5 different tables. Made it awkward.

Drinks were disgusting Coke products. They need to switch to Pepsi. Their pizza isn't New York style. It looks kind of like it, but doesn't taste like it. The taste isn't bad, per se, but I didn't really like the way their sauce tastes

Great pizza as expect! Wait staff was fast and friendly. We were looking for something outside of the big three and we were very pleased!!!

Great food for the price. Left with a whole meal for leftovers. It has a sports atmosphere if you're into that which is good. My only complaint is that the marinara sauce can be watery, but I didn't need that for what I was eating.

Staff wonderful, inside dining, food was hot fresh delicious. Loved the pizza(great crust and sauce) and garlic knots.

Great food good prices and friendly staff. I will be back.

The best strombolis and a respectable selection of brews on tap. I always enjoy getting my fix for a house stromboli. Try it. It's delicious.

Pizza is way too thin be considered a New York pizza, but I was hungry and it was food! LOL the straw was even thicker!

Solid, though I challenge anyone outside Chicago or NY NY to make a truly great pie. Best you'll get around here, which is more than good enough.

The pizza was great along with a great crust. Done perfectly. Service was very fast. Server was very nice a helpful. Would definitely make it a frequent spot if I lived here.

Food comes quick and the staff is always there to help you. However for the taste of the food, it could be better. Ambience is very normal and average, not a great. Overall would be 3 rating out of 5. We tried Johnny's Bruschetta, the bread could have been much better. "The Gourmet" pizza was good.I

This place is the "bomb"! The pizza is to die for. If you haven't tried this place you owe it to yourself to do so.

I was in town for work on Super Bowl Sunday, not only was the food delicious, the delivery was right on time and the driver brought plates, napkins, utensils, and parm and red pepper!!! 5 stars from a pizza lover from the STL.

Awesome place best pizza and salds... love this place.

I tried their cauliflower crust pizza, Lasagna, and Salad. Pizza was very good. Lasagna could use more seasoning, and better balance between tomato sauce, and cheese. Salad was good too. Will try more next time. Tried to use their mobile app/website, and they are very hard to use for an online order.

I really liked this place. It is a comfortable Restaurant and the service was good during our lunch visit. We had pizza slices and it was New York style and very flavorful. It was also very moderately priced and we thought it was a very good value including wine. The Northwest Arkansas Area has plenty of eating options, but I would recommend Johnny Brusco's for anyone who wants a quick pizza fix.

Recently, the pizza has been inconsistent. I wish they could train all their pizza chefs to each make the same pie. Thickness of crust has been all over the place. Having said all this, I still love their pizza!

I love it here because they make really good pizza, have good local beer and they're not typically overly busy.

Great place, fast and friendly service. We stopped in at 745pm after being on the road all day and were met with a smile and a friendly face right away. Pizzas were out asap and tasted awesome (kudos on the perfect crust guys!). Thanks for the great meal.

I've tried this place twice now. Both times, Loved it! Great food, fast service. I've had the Calzone and Stromboli. Will definitely be back!

Let me start by saying I've been eating here for years. Now with that being Johnny's USED to be good. We order a large meat lovers pizza, meat lovers calzone and meat lovers Stromboli.(Yes we love our heart clogging meats) we asked for galic butter which the young lady argued with my wife saying that "we don't have such a thing." We finally got that worked out that they did in fact have some, and have had it for years. We got the delivery, the driver was very short and hauled it out of there before I even got a look at the food. They didn't include the dipping sauce which I was charged for. The food was the greasiest, most bland food I've had in a while. Literally had grease dripping out of the boxes. I have bad acid reflux and couldn't stomic to eat it. Y'all need to change something before you lose even more business!

This is real new york pizza. I'm from New York and this is pretty much what I expect. They even have dollar slices on Tuesdays.I also met the owner one night, super nice guy and also from New York.I haven't tried the non-pizza parts of their menu, but the pizza is very good and the staff is friendly (even the kitchen talks to you if you're nice and engaging).

Hood pizza, good beer selection. The two times I have been in there they were not overly busy but service us friendly and fast.

Really good brick-oven pizza

This was my first experience, the pizza was excellent! However they charge way too much for the cauliflower crust pizza. We ordered 2 12" cauliflower pizzas and a large salad, it was $48.00 and some change. The salad was 3.99, you do the math. They are taking advantage of gluten-free individuals. I have never had to pay this much for the different crust. It is ridiculous 😒

Johnny Brusco's is pretty darned good no matter how you slice it. I order the johnny's deluxe with bacon, olives, extra sauce, extra cheese... Make you wanna get out of the hut and flip off the godfather 😎The cokes are strong. The servers friendly and fast. This is what a slice of noo yawk pie is 'posta taste like! Enjoy!

One of the best pizzas I have ever had! Mozzarella sticks were on point too. My order was right on time and was brought right out to my car. Definitely coming back if I'm back in Arkansas!

Very impressed with this restaurant! We are new to town and love NY style pizza. This hit the spot! Friendly staff, good portions, fair prices and more variety aside from pizza. My kids loved it as well. Love that they offer a slice of pizza if that's all you'd like. We will be back!!

We've eaten here now and again through the years. I feel like it used to be better than it is now. The location and interior are nice, and the staff is friendly. But the pizza seems lacking in flavor and quality. It's not bad pizza, just not great. I would stop since there is nothing else close that offers anything better, but definitely not a pizza up to my standards. *I'll add I posted this same review on yelp and the owner was less than tactful in their answer. They just lost my business. Get some manners dude, I gave you credit where it was due. And I've NEVER seen you voted best of anything in particular reputable food publications.

Honestly some of my favorite pizza and their stromboli is amazing

As I sat waiting on my food I watched a guy with glasses play with a tooth pick take an order and remove something from his teeth! Then use a touch screen and take payment... Did not wash his hands. And he served many people's food. The booths were dirty. Thank God someone else served my food!

Walked in New Years day with family (total of 14) Let me start off that Elijah was awesome with customer service & staying attentive of our group👍👍👍👍 Food was delicious and fresh! We were all happy customers.. pleased with our service and tummies 😋 thanks!!! Highly recommend and will come back again.
